This may be an unusual request, but we are getting married on the 29th June 2018, my husband to be Eryl Owen, has been a firefighter for the past 18 years based at Colwyn Bay and currently Rhyl, and my father Hywel “Eddie” Jones, who is sadly no longer with us, worked for Slaters for some years.
I’m wondering whether it would be at all possible for us to hire the old fire engine to pick Eryl up from Abergele and drive him to the Kinmel in Abergele as his wedding transport, and maybe just have it waiting for us to have photo’s taken after the ceremony? I think with the connections this would be a fabulous surprise for him on the day.
I would be willing to pay for the hire, or give a donation to Slaters chosen charity.
