  1. Gaynor Hughes:

I read about this recently when Abergele Library were celebrating the 50th anniversary. Mr Emyr Morris had loaned lots of interesting memorabilia including newspaper cuttings from the Abergele Visitor.

I’m also trying to trace something about a photo of children lying in beds outside.
The photo I found was on a search I was doing. As my mum was in Abergele for 3/ 5 year’s.
During this time she was mostly on her back because she had plaster cast from her waste.
My mum would have been in the hospital /asylum early 1940’s
When she could walk she was in a play about dancing dolls. I’m not sure if it was in the newspaper.
But I remember seeing my mum dressed in a dress and wearing a bonnet.
The photo of the children in beds outside. My mum is in one of them. I’m not sure which is my mum.
I’m assuming it’s the little girl lying down. Because you can just about see part of the cast on her right leg. Which is where it shows when she’s in a play.
If anyone can help me with this photo I would like to see if I can get a clearer copy.
I can’t ask my mum about the photo. As she passed away 2 years ago. But my auntie said her mum had the same photo and she wonderd where I got it from.
I actually found it on pintrest last year.
If anyone can help me with this I would really appreciate it
Thank you for your time and help
