Ymuno is Welsh for ‘all join in’. This festival on the first weekend in July 2016 in Rhyd-y-Foel, Abergele, is a gem. It’s really family-friendly and the lineup is eclectic and refreshing. Compared with many other summer weekend festivals the admission and camping prices are reasonable. It’s £120 for adults and £15 for children.
Line-up includes:
Friday: Yr Adar, Mister Keith, Claire Jordan, K.O.G & The Zongo Brigade, Sorceress.
Saturday: Lunacorona, The Turbans, Gareth Logan, Hedge Gods, Sera Owen, Jordan Mackampa, Hannah Scott.
Sunday: George Harris and the Memory Makers, Nia Wyn, Paul Bytheway, Abby Butler, Jaywalkers, The Grenaways, William The Conqueror, Denuo, The Impellers, Renegade Brass Band.
There’s lots there apart from the music. E.g. bedtime campfire story-telling, face-painting, giant bubble-blowing, guided star gazing, fancy dress disco and breadmaking sessions.
