Here’s a short digital story I’ve just made about the old Abergele Show. It was Brian Haynes – my dad’s neighbour – who told me about the ‘swimming’ of horses from boats from Ireland anchored off Pensarn beach.

Nice story, I hadn’t heard of Cae Stalwyn before.
After much research to come up with a name for the new housing estate on Rhuddlan Rd, myself and Richard Waters came up with the Cae Stalwyn. Many of ths fields in this area were named after horses. Howevere, on this site there was an old brickworks which was part owned by J R Ellis Berthopic and Edward Hughes and many buildings around the town were built using local bricks.
Great choice of name Delyth. I’m always pleased when new developments in Wales are given Welsh names that relate to their past.
